This talented group of ladies (no men have applied yet!) design scrapbook layouts, ATC's, cards, mixed media art, altered items & other paper art projects using the products we carry. Watch our newsletter and "Project Ideas" page for their ideas. Cheryl Nyboer, Michigan I'm Cheryl Nyboer and I'm so honored and excited to be the a member of the Stamp and Scrap Canada Design Team! I live in Michigan, about 60 miles NW of Detroit, with my husband of nearly 30 years and our two dogs. I started scrapbooking over 10 years ago and haven't stopped since. Most of my layouts are designed around the photographs that I am working with. Being a photographer for over 20 years , it's still all about the pictures for me. I love patterned paper and usually have at least two different papers on a layout. I also ink the edges of almost everything for a more vintage look. Life is a journey and I'm so blessed to be able to incorporate scrapbooking, altered art, card making and more recently, stamping into mine. I'm passionate about my family and friends, cherishing the moments, living life to it's fullest and creating art! Debby Harriettha, Ontario My name is Debby Harriettha and I live in Port Colborne, Ontario. I am a seasonal worker and take the winter’s off at which time I consider myself a full-time mixed media artist. I love designing cards, atcs, 4x4’s and altering anything and everything. I do some stamping, but love collage. My favorite are vintage children and women. I am always looking for new techniques for my backgrounds, thus I am always playing. My latest passion is Altered Book Round Robins. I can’t get enough of these gorgeous works of art and it is such a thrill to receive them in the mail and creating my art in them. I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful design team.
Tania Rubenok, Alberta I started safe scrapbooking about 7 years ago, but have always been a scrapper at heart. I became totally addicted to scrapbooking five years ago after my daughter was born. I love how scrapbooking has taught me to pay attention to the little things and record more than just the major milestones. A few years ago I began to expand my paper crafting and now I spend just as much if not more time making cards, ATC's, collages and altered items. I'm constantly trying new techniques and love to find innovative ways to use supplies and think outside the box. My all time favorite supply is probably acrylic paint and my favorite projects I've done lately are large canvases. I love the idea of creating artwork that goes beyond pages for my albums and moves on to home decor. I'm honored to be on this design team and I look forward to using my skills to inspire others.
Debi Wind, Kentucky I am Debi Wind. I live in Louisville, KY with my little Maltese, Peanut. I am a graduate of the University of Kansas with a background in accounting and music. I spent twenty five years working in the grain, real estate and mortgage industries. I left accounting in 1999 due to an injury from an accident on the job and went on disability. Faced with this major change in my life I began looking for a new way to occupy my time. I discovered my artistic talent for rubber stamping seven years ago on that trip to Las Vegas visiting a friend. I had no idea what a rubber stamp was until I ventured into a stamp store and bought my first three stamps. My rubber stamp collection has grown to over 2000 stamps and continues to grow. I am a technique junkie and have accumulated over 8000 techniques which I share with my own rubber stamping group. I love collage, mixed media, photo images, and altered art. I am definitely a stampacholic, an embellishment junkie, and a hoarder of stamping supplies. I do design work for several online rubber stamp vendors something I enjoy immensely. I write for SSReflections (www.ssreflections.com), a monthly ezine and have for a little over two years. My articles are geared towards rubber stamping for beginners. Plus, I am list mom for SSReflections’ Yahoo group and am involved in several other Yahoo groups for the management side of SSReflections. It does keep me busy but I love every minute of writing and being part of SSReflections. I own a Yahoo rubber stamping group and have for 4 years. As owner and list mom it is a challenge to come up with fresh ideas to peak the interest of the group and I love doing it. I have completed Claudine Hellmuth Collage Discovery, Nancy Curry’s Textured Effects, and Mary Kaye Seckler Book Arts workshops. It is a joy to share this awesome art with those who are new to stamping by sending a card, sending an ATC, designing samples, or writing my monthly article. Currently I share my art on http://community.webshots.com/user/chipblue57and many rubber stamping websites. Rubber stamping is a creative and artistic love of mine and to be given the opportunity to be involved in so many different areas is a dream come true. Plus as an added benefit I have made many friends along the way and they are friendships that will last a life time. In conclusion, I will end with my favorite saying, “Just Me and My Rubber Stamps”.
Nicola Manning, Ontario I am very excited and honoured to be a member of this design team! I am a 30-something year old mother of 2 boys. I have been creating in one form or another my whole life. Although a life-long knitter, the last couple of years have found me primarily working in collage and mixed-media. I love the freedom I feel when I dive into my art supplies and enjoy expressing myself through collage. My favourite forms of work include atc's, chunkybooks, altered books and mixed-media collage in 4x6" and 8 1/2 x 11" sizes. I hope my contributions here will inspire and encourage others.
Melanie Coombs, Ontario My name is Melanie Coombs and I live in Mississauga, Ontario, which is just outside of Toronto. By day, I am an administrative assistant to the president of the company I work for. By night, I am a mom of two, wife and an avid scrapbooker! I also enjoy making cards and altered items, but scrapbooking is my favourite by far. I am also doing a lot more rubber stamping. I originally began scrapbooking after I got married, as I wanted to put together a nice album. Little did I know then that my other hobbies would soon be put to the side as the scrapbooking obsession took over! I enjoy learning new techniques and improving my own skills and I think we all improve with time. I am excited to be a part of this design team and hope to inspire or teach others with my work.
Sally Byrne, Ontario Donna Moore, Yukon I have been in the Yukon most of my 36 years. I love the summers because of the long nights and I love the winters for all the beautiful fluffy snow, but at -30 I would rather stay in. I have a beautiful 4 year old daughter, Shailyn, and a wonderful husband, Bill. When we aren't busy with work and everyday life, we enjoy camping and snowmobiling. My part-time position as secretary at the youth centre takes me away from the things I love best, like my stamping and scrapbooking... It all started about a year ago, when walked into the local craft store. I saw this fantastic little stamp, that I had no idea what to do with. At that point, I decided to sign up to attend a stamping workshop. I was hooked. At this point I still have another 3 years of Shailyn's scrapbook to finish. How I wish I knew then what I know now. I take great pleasure in sharing my stamping experience with others, so I organized a stampers club. Instructing and demonstrating different techniques and projects. I love it and so do they. I am very excited to be part of the design team.
Heather Robinson, Ontario Carolyn Cunningham, New Zealand Yvonne Brannen, Georgia Well, I'm very pleased to be a part of such an International group. Thanks, Wendy! My husband spent 22 years in the U.S. Army so we traveled and lived all over the states and in Europe so I have lots of pictures still waiting for layouts. We've retired and returned home to Georgia. We have two grown sons, one daughter-in-law, a 93 lb. black lab and a tabby cat that likes to scrap with me (she has her own pillow on my work table). I have been sewing and making crafts since I was a little girl. But in the past few years I've begun to scrapbook seriously. I started scrapbooking with Anna Griffin's papers and teaching her layout classes. That has lead to a spot on her Design Team. Rubber stamping is one of my favorite things and experimenting with new techniques. I enjoy taking different paper techniques, such as Iris Folding and Nested Shapes, and incorporating them into layouts. I would have to say that most of my designs lean toward Vintage and Classic styles. I'm really looking forward to working with the Design Team.
Heidi Hastings, Alberta I have lived in North America for 21 years both in the U.S. and Canada, my husband and I travel overseas a great deal where I'm always picking up new products/ideas and filling up my craft room even more. My mother was a talented artist/teacher in the U.K. and I've always dabbled in some art form or another so when Wendy decided to get into Stamping and Card making and I saw all the different painting techniques that could be used, I was hooked. Friends have commented how they love receiving gifts that people have taken the time to make. Card making is a very good place to start, so often you find the right picture but not the right sentiment and vice versa, so I decided to rectify that and make my own and spread a little sunshine amongst my family and friends.
Monica Kennedy, Alberta Wendy Kennedy, Alberta I live on a farm south of Calgary, Alberta with as many of our 3 children that are at home and my husband. We're at the revolving door stage when they're leaving and coming back!! They'll soon all be gone for good & I'll be wishing for these busy, busy days. I own and operate Stamp and Scrap Canada with lots of help from Heidi and some from Monica. We started selling scrapbooking products a few years ago and it's just taken off. I attended a stamping workshop for retailers in May, 2005 and fell in love with stamping. And now I've discovered ATC's (Artist Trading Cards)! I really, really need more time in a day! ps - If you make a project out of the products we sell & would like to see it on our site just email it to us. We'd love to include it in our project idea section :-) See an error in this website? Let us know and receive a $5 Ecoupon. Home ~
