Mulberry Kozo Paper

Half Price

It looks different, it feels different and it is produced quite differently from other paper.
'Kozo" or mulberry trees provide the raffia fibres used to make this unique paper.

Kozo trees grow very rapidly. Only 6 months after fresh shoots are trimmed
off a tree it is mature and ready to be harvested again. Almost 100% of the 'tree' can be used.

Fibres & bark are cut up, cleaned, and dyed with water-soluble colors to make the paper pulp.
White paper is bleached in the sun. By mixing in parts of the bark
and leaf fibres numerous variatoons can be created. No two sheets are alike.

Leaves and botanicals may not be acid & lignin free.
8.5" x11"

This is a heavy handmade paper - perfect for cardmaking, bags, frames and invitations (and great for scrapbooking too!)
